The foundation

of happiness is

forgiveness

(and that’s a loaded statement)

Remember

being a child?

Childhood can be a very nuanced topic of individual exploration, but for most of us there is a lovely quality still present when we ponder it:

Wonder.

Wonder is a feeling only available at the degree to which we are present to life’s passing moments.

And presence is much easier for us when we aren’t projecting judgements onto circumstances, experiences, people, etc.

Wonder makes it possible for us to awaken heightened creativity, imagination, love, and a host of other positive realities.

But this one pitfall keeps catching us:

Judgement.

Guilt. Shame. Agenda. “Other-ing.”

At the core of judgement lies a deep belief in fundamental brokenness—a belief that human nature trends toward the negative, and not the other direction. We lose touch with curiosity, and start drawing hard lines, shutting down conversations.

The trouble with judgement lies in the feedback loop of confirmation bias. When we are predisposed to an idea, we begin to see confirmations of that idea everywhere, either in a positive direction or a not-so-positive one, especially in our own lives.

The state of our wealth.

The state of our bodies.

And perhaps most acutely, the state of our relationships.

The key is un-learning.

While we can devote ourselves to practices that will help us reinforce a new, more generous and charitable worldview, and to cultivate wonder again, this practice is much less about doing than it is about being. The being is what sustains the doing.

It’s not about “learning how to be”—it’s about un-learning the way you’ve been conditioned to be.

And the key to this un-learning is this freeing, amazing, potent concept:

Forgiveness.

True forgiveness begins where the very ideas of defensiveness and judgement and guilt all start losing their grip on us.

What if The Universe is setting us an example? An example of giving Itself away to us with every passing moment, with no terms and conditions, no expectations, no strings attached?

What if the default condition of all existence is unconditional?

What if you can live into this Abundance of Spirit, and watch your life start falling into place, right now? Would you do it?

I believe you can. Because I’ve seen it happen in the lives of many people under my care. And I’d like to help you do the same.

Let's Talk
  • "Wisdom coupled with authenticity. You just get the feeling that Jake has been through what you’re going through and come out the other side. Like he’s not lecturing or just giving you a solution, but that’s he sees elements of himself in your situation and he’s working on it *with* you."

  • “Jake blew the lid off my life. You can feel the confidence and experience coming out of him when he teaches, but he’s still so grounded and approachable. His insight has been invaluable.”

  • "Jake helped me claim my masculinity for myself; not according to what society wants, but according to what I want. He helped me purify my intention and taught me the power of my Word to Self. I feel unshakeable."
